Daikin industries Ltd is a Japanese electrical equipment industry founded on October 25, 1924 as Osaka Kinzoku Kogyo limited partnership in Osaka, Jpan by Akira Yamada.
Daikin industries is headquartered at Osaka Japan, Masanori Togawa is the CEO and president of the company.
The company is known for the production of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, chemical defense systems. Daikin has operations in Japan, China, Australia, India, Philippines, South East Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
Daikin is the inventor of variables refrigerant volume systems and also an innovator in the popular split system air conditioning market.

In 2008, MC Quay which was previously bought by Daikin was re-branded and named Daikin-MC Quay, during the period, Daikin began to implement many of its technology in MC Quay.
