Dunlop - A diversify brand of elegant wears

Dunlop is a brand of tyres owned by various companies around the world. Founded by pneumatic tyre pioneer John Boyd Dunlop in Birmingham, England in 1889, it is owned and operated by Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Company in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. In India the brand is owned by Dunlop India Ltd. whose parent company is the Ruia Group. In Asia (Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Russia), Africa and Latin America (except Mexico) by Sumitomo Rubber Industries.

Dunlop has changed a lot since it began in 1889. John Dunlop’s pneumatic tyre patent has grown, split and dispersed in a number of different directions. Not least, the design and development of some of the most loved fashion and sportswear apparel, including the Green Flash trainers and its iconic Dunlop bags. 

Dunlop brand diversify from rubber tyres to Dunlop bags, sports clothes and fashion. Dunlop Green Flash is one of the most popular trainers of all time, with more than twenty five million pairs sold. It’s still popular too with a big fan following and the benefit of a seemingly never-ending retro revival. 

Dunlop Bags have also become a popular fashion. Dunlop popularity and brand awareness has remained just as strong. Hopefully Dunlop will be around for a long time to come, in whatever business form, because it’s bags, trainers and tennis rackets are ace.
