Fossil is an American fashion designer and manufacturer founded in 1984 by Tom Katsotis who was a former student of Texas A$M university living in Dallas, the company is headquartered in Texas, United States of America.

The company is known for the production of watches, wallets, designer jewelry, designer fragrances for men and women which was founded in 1984, women hand bags, various leather products, computer bags, backpacks, belts and much more.

As at 2016, the company recorded a number of 14,500 staff.

They sell watches, smartwatches, bags, gifts etc.

The company started when Kosta Kartsotis, a merchandising executive at Sanger-Harris told his younger brother Kosta Kartsotis the founder of Fossil about the potential large profits that could be made in importing retail goods made in the Far East, specifically in importing moderately-priced fashion watches.

RELIC

Their main product was fashion watches with a retro look. In 1990, they introduced leather goods under the Fossil brand, and the Relic line of watches.

ZODIAC WATCHES

Zodiac watches was a Swiss brand that had been operating since 1882 when Fossil acquired it from Genender International in 2001. Fossil's desire to establish a Swiss presence led to the purchase of the Zodiac Watch brand and a complete retooling of that line to reflect a retro modern 1970s style in a higher end watch. 

MICHELE WATCH

The 2004 purchase of Michele Watch completed the cycle by offering a high-end Swiss watch with a designer flair.

In early 2013, Fossil introduced their upscale and more expensive "Fossil Swiss" line of watches which are made in Switzerland.

In November 2015, Fossil acquired Misfit with plans to incorporate Misfit's technology into traditional-looking watches

WARRANTY INFORMATION

The hands, dial, and watch movement are the only components covered under the warranty. If the watch proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge at the discretion of Metro Service Center. A return shipping and handling fee will apply to all warranty service.

The manufacturer's warranty does not cover:

Battery, case, crystal, strap, or bracelet

Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents, or normal wear and tear

Water damage unless marked water-resistant

Repairs if the watch was not originally purchased from an authorized Fossil retailer

This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in material or workmanship.
