Honda is a Japanese conglomerate industry funded on October 1946 in japan by Soichiro Honda who had always had interest in automobiles. He worked as a mechanic at the Art Shokai garage, where he tuned cars and entered them in races. The company was incorporated on September 24, 1948.

The company is headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. 

Honda's products are served and sold worldwide including Nigeria on deluxe.com.ng.

The company deals with the production of automobiles, commercial vehicles, luxury vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, electric generators, water pumps, lawn and garden equipment, rotary tillers, outboard motors, robotics, jet aircraft, jet engines, thin-film solar cells, internavi (telematics).

As at 2016, the company had a total number of 208,399 employees.

Since 1959, Honda has been the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer as well as the worlds largest largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume.

Honda became the second largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001, in 2015, Honda emerged the 8th largest automobile manufacturer in the world.

Honda is the first Japanese automobile company to produce a luxury brand which is the Acura brand.

The company has been involved with artificial intelligence/robotics research since 1986, they finally successfully produced their ASIMO robot in 20000

Honda also has an aerospace with the establishment of GE Honda aero engine in 2004 and also Honda HA-420 Hondajet, which the production commenced in 2012.

Honda has a total number of 3 join ventures which are; Honda china, Dongfeng, Honda, Guangqi Honda.

Honda became the first Japanese automaker to be a net exporter from the united states, exporting 108,705 Honda and Acura models, while importing only 88,357.

In 1995, Honda aircraft company was established as a wholly owned subsidiary.
