Infocus was founded in 1986 by Steve Hix and Paul Gulick. The company is headquartered in Tigard, Oregon, USA. 

The company moved into a new headquarters building in Wilsonville, Oregon, in 2002. At that time the company employed 1,200 people

The company is popular for the production, development,  and distribution of projectors & large-format touch displays such as DLP projects, LCD projectors, large-format touch PCs and displays, video phones, video calling services, LED televisions, tablets, software, smartphones. 

The company's products are produced for different customer. DLP and LCD projectors and LCD flat panel touchscreens for business users, educators, government entities, ProAV customers, mobile professionals and home theater enthusiasts.

InFocus, a U.S. pioneer in the visual communication market, and Foxconn, the global leader in consumer electronics manufacturing, have come together in a strategic partnership to provide consumers with an array of innovative solutions.

Infocus purchased a company named 'the university network' in 2005, they provided digital media and thin screen Television advertising to colleges, but Infocus later sold the company to Sunmedia LLC in 2006.

InFocus was purchased by Image Holdings Corporation, owned by John Hui, in 2009 and is now a wholly owned subsidiary headquartered in Tigard, Oregon.

In October 2009, Infocus announced plans to move to Tigard, Oregon in December 2009. The company was down to 110 employees at the time of the move, with just over half at the headquarters. 

As of 2012, the company had further reduced to 90 employees. By 2014, the company employed 120 people and is one of Oregon's 25 largest homegrown technology companies. 

In October 2015 Infocus acquired Hayward, California-based video wall and collaboration solutions provider Jupiter Systems.

Today, Infocus products are now available all over the world including Nigeria on deluxe.com.ng.

WARRANTY

  • Infocus provides "Product Warranty Statement", at the time of its original purchase, from the Infocus or its authorized distributor, describing the product warranty service.

Notes: 

  • Infocus does not provide global cross border warranty. This limited warranty (free of defects in materials and workmanship causing malfunction and defective) shall last for twelve (12) months for the device and six (6) months for the battery from the purchase date. 

  • Other than battery, the in-box accessories, including cosmetic parts, button, cables, earphone, AC … etc. if applied; six (6) month open-box functional failure warranty is provided. 

  • The customer shall present the PROOF OF PURCHASE upon claiming the warranty. Throughout the warranty period Infocus or its authorized agent will, at own discretion and subject to section Non-Warranty below repair or replace a defective product. 

NON-WARRANTY

  • No warranty may be asserted or claimed if

  • The product serial number, date code, IMEI, water indicator or the warranty seal has been removed, erased, defaced or altered; or

  • The defect is found

  • By engineering judgment, the product is mishandled/misused carelessly or accidentally. 

  • Unauthorized disassembling or repair, repair by use if unauthorized spare parts, or other actions beyond the reasonable control of Infocus.

  • Rough handling, exposure to moisture, dampness or extreme thermal or environmental conditions or a rapid change in such conditions, corrosion, oxidation, unauthorized modifications or connections.
