A vehicle battery is a rechargeable battery that supplies electrical current to an automobile  vehicle. A battery is the main component that powers the electric component in a car, especially the modern cars which it is not possible to run them without a healthy battery. In other words, your battery starts your car time and time again. However, there are two types of battery which are; the wet and dry cell battery.
Wet Cell Battery
A wet cell battery is a type of battery that is rechargeable and contains a liquid electrolyte such as sulfuric acid. This battery produces corrosive liquid which is dangerous and may damage the components of a vehicle. However, frequent inspection is required while using a wet cell battery.
 Advantages of a Wet Cell Battery

Wet cell batteries are typically used as rechargeable secondary batteries. This makes them ideal for use in motor vehicles, where the car's alternator recharges the battery after starting. For the amount of power that they supply, and their durability, wet cell batteries are fairly affordable. If properly maintained, wet cell batteries also have a high number of charge-discharge cycles. They are also less likely than other batteries to suffer damage from overcharging.
Dry Cell Battery
Dry cell battery is a battery that does not contain liquid and are generally refer to as “maintenance-free” battery. But does it mean that you don’t really need to maintain it? The answer is NO.  Although Maintenance-free battery does not need to top up the electrolyte water but a regular inspection is important to prevent corrosive build up at terminals. 
Advantages of a Dry Cell Battery

Dry cells are more durable and can be operated in any position, they are typically used for remote controls, flashlights and other similar handheld devices. Dry cells are typically used as primary cells, and these batteries can handle long periods of storage because they lose their charge more slowly than secondary batteries. Lithium ion batteries represent a type of dry cell battery well-suited for use in cell phones, due to its high energy density, or its power stored versus weight. This means a small compact, durable battery can deliver a large amount of power.
Battery Voltage
Voltage refers to the amount of electrical potential your battery holds. The standard automotive battery in today’s vehicles is a 12-volt battery. Each battery has six cells, each with 2.1 volts at full charge. A car battery is considered fully charged at 12.6 volts or higher. When the battery’s voltage drops, even a small amount, it makes a big difference in its performance. 
Vehicle Battery Maintenance Tips
Check your battery every now and then to make sure its terminal connections are clean, snug and protected from the elements. Signs of corrosion or leakage could mean that your battery is no longer operating as well as it should.
*Always unplug accessories and turn off lights when your car is turned off.
*Keep the battery in cooler places whenever possible. Heat damages batteries.
*Scrub corrosion from the terminals with a solution of water and baking soda.
Longevity
There is a  misconception that a dry cell battery has shorter lifespan compared to a wet cell battery. This is far from the truth, a dry cell battery has almost the same lifespan as wet cell.
